means you must personally visit the store at some point...   You can...

1... Place a deposit by phone to secure the item and collect from the store later.
2... Visit the store to see, demo, or discuss it, go home to measure up or to
have a think... you can then order by phone and we are allowed to send.
(you must register for this option)
3... Visit York (nice place, lots to do and see) by car, bus, train (short walk) or
Park'n'Ride, place your order... and we can then deliver, free of charge  
... you do not have to take it with you!
Or... to avoid discrimination, you can contact the manufacturer if you have special needs
(ie invalid, house bound) ...or no local dealer to protect.

You may think this is just an excuse for price rigging, but theory is ...it is difficult to give a complete service by 'shopping basket' or even by telephone and these products only perform reliably and perform at their best when properly matched ...a local authorised dealer can give you the time and advice needed for this, so if you want them there when next you need them, they need their profit!   ...don't abuse.

NB. any dealer not adhering to franchise rules risks losing their agency and their customers could then experience difficulty with any guarantee claim ...most dealers can only afford the time to service product for their own customers and see this as an absolute priority.
